On the cheapest flannel throw, the safety bullet describes NTC overheating protection with a 10-hour auto shut-off, and the ease-of-use bullet on the same product page says 8 hours. Both sentences are our own and they cannot both be right.
Plan for 8 hours. It is the shorter of the two claims and the one that matches the rest of the range, and a blanket that switches off earlier than expected is a smaller problem than one that runs longer than you planned.

That single observation settles the question for your unit better than either bullet, and it is day two of the proving ritual anyway.
It ends a session. It is not a thermostat, it does not sense a person and it does not know whether the blanket is folded. Use it as an ordinary convenience, heat the bed before you get in, let it stop on its own, rather than as a safety supervisor.
