Editorial policy and corrections

Two rules do most of the work: name the source of every number, and leave the gap where there is no number.

Every factual statement here comes from what we publish about each piece and from what buyers report in reviews, as they stood on 25 August 2026. Where a product page states something, we say the product page states it and name the item code.

Certificates, test results and material claims appear only as quotations of our own wording with the product page attached. Certification wording stays on the piece it belongs to and is never carried across to another.

Nothing in this range is offered as medical, therapeutic or circulation help: the ceiling is 86–122 °F, which is comfort warmth.

Ratings and review counts appear as ordinary text with their source and date, and never inside structured data. Putting somebody else's review score into our own markup is a misrepresentation search engines act on.

Corrections

If a figure here is wrong, tell us and we will change it and say when it changed. Corrections that alter a recommendation get a line at the top of the page rather than a silent edit.

There are 16 guides here and every one of them carries the date its data was recorded, so an out-of-date page is visible rather than invisible.
